An absorbent piece of material used to stuff pocket nappies/ stuffable nappies. Can use as many as you need to make the nappy the right absorbency for your baby. All pocket nappy brands have their own inserts that fit their nappies particularly well, but with most you can use any inserts or boosters, terry squares, prefolds, tea-towel in an emergency!

Microfibre Insert
Microfibre inserts are very slim, yet absorbent, making your pocket nappies reliable without being bulky.

Available in small and large. Order the small for small pocket nappies and the large for medium and large pocket nappies. The small inserts can be used with a large to boost the larger sized pocket nappies.

These inserts are idealy suited to slim-fitting, narrow-cut pocket nappies such as the Swaddlebees sized nappies and Pocket Bots nappies. They are absorbent and quick to dry.

Swaddlebees Hemp Inserts
Very absorbent, yet slim inserts. Idealy suited to pocket nappies that are narrow between the legs such as Swaddlebees and Pocket Bots.
Hemp needs several pre-washes before it reaches full absorbency. You can use it after three or four washes but you may need to change more frequently until it reaches full absorbency at about ten washes.

Use boosters to increase the absorbency of your nappy. Especially useful to make a day time nappy into a night time nappy.

Bambinex Bamboo Booster
Three layers of bamboo fabric. A small and neat, but highly absorbent booster. Excellent for boosting any type of nappy, two-part ot pocket nappy, without adding too much bulk.

Each Bambinex bamboo nappy comes with it's own booster but you may like to have some extras if your child is a heavy wetter or if you are using Bambinex as night nappies.

These boosters are small enough and absorbent enough to use on their own as inserts in extra small pocket nappies (or BumGenius on their smallest setting) for newborn babies.

Bamboo is 60% more absorbent than cotton. It is also a brilliant, eco-friendly material, having hardly any impact on the environment. It is highly biodegradable, it has a short growth cycle, making it a sustainable crop, and, contrary to cotton, it can thrive naturally without the use of pesticides.

Easy Peasy Hemp Booster
Excellent quality and really useful hemp booster from Easy Peasy Nappies.

Made from 6 layers of Hemp Jersey.

Hemp is extremely absorbent but slim so great for adding absorbency to any nappy - both 2-part and pocket nappies.

Hemp needs to be pre-washed before use to get the absorbency up to speed. It will improve in absorbency and drying time up to 10 washes, however can be used after about 3. It will also shrink a little in the first wash.

Motherease Stay-Dry Booster
As well as increasing the absorbency of the nappy, Motherease Stay-Dry boosters wick moisture away, keeping baby's skin dry. It also stays soft, even in hard water areas.

These are large boosters and are designed to fit in the Motherease Onesize nappy when it is in its bigger setting, but can be used with other nappies too. These are not the popper-in version (see below for these).
